Today I tried to beat Salke Fur Friend to his level 15 elder white tiger, per the instructions on GuildWiki. I'd read posts here by others who did this successfully and it seemed like a great idea. It's reported that as of March 07 it was still possible...but apparently it isn't anymore? I had no trouble getting down there and hitting charm animal before Salke tamed the tiger, but when I tried to tame it the game told me "invalid target" and "this creature is not an animal." :P This was after it turned red. So apparently it is not tameable anymore? Or perhaps you'd have to be inhumanly fast and get to it while it's still green in order for it to be tameable?

Anyone else having this problem or know what the deal is?

Try with the skill "Burning Speed." If that doesn't do it, you probably won't be able to do it.

I believe wiki also states fur has a monster only version of charm that is instant, when he uses it you can't charm the pet anymore.

If you stay out of radar range of him, step forward a little flag your H/H at his location and quickly step out of radar range again, you H/H should kill him, but he won't charm his pet unless a player is in his radar range while he is in a fight(at least I heard that, never tried it)

Otherwise you'd need to find a way to keep him from charming the pet...

You can also flag H&H on the U-map, if that helps.
Edit: That is also what wiki mentions on the [wiki]White Tiger[/wiki] page.
